Born in Bend, Oregon. Made by real humans. Broken Top Brands creates thoughtfully crafted home, body and personal fragrance designed to make everyday life smell a whole lot better.

What started in a kitchen in 2015 has grown into a nationally distributed fragrance company, manufacturing operation and licensing partner, without losing the small-business heart that got us here.

It Started With a Candle. Obviously.

Broken Top Brands started in Bend, Oregon in 2015 with a kitchen, a whole lot of curiosity and one pretty simple idea: everyday products should smell incredible, look beautiful and be made with ingredients we feel good about.

So, we started making them.
What began with small-batch candles quickly outgrew the kitchen, then our first warehouse, and eventually became something much bigger. Today, our team develops and manufactures home fragrance, personal fragrance and body care products right here in Central Oregon, shipping to retailers and customers across the country.

We've grown up a little since those early days, bigger production runs, bigger retail partners and some pretty pinch-us collaborations, but the way we approach the work hasn't changed much.

We obsess over fragrance. We care about the details. We make things we're proud to put our name on.

And yes, we're still the kind of company where you'll probably find the CEO taping a box if that's what needs to happen.

We believe growing bigger doesn't have to mean losing what made you special in the first place.

From our Central Oregon manufacturing facility, our team produces everything from candles and reed diffusers to personal fragrance and body care. Some runs are headed to an independent boutique we've worked with for years. Others are headed to hundreds of retail doors across the country.

Turns out, making great fragrance can take you some pretty fun places.

Beyond creating our own Broken Top collections, our team works behind the scenes developing and manufacturing fragrance and personal care products for iconic lifestyle brands including ROXY® and Billabong®.

These partnerships let us do what we love most, translate a brand, a memory, a place or a feeling into something you can actually smell, wear and bring home.

It's product development, fragrance, design, manufacturing and a whole lot of creative problem-solving under one roof.

We were just a bunch of kids with questionable haircuts and absolutely no idea we'd end up making things smell good for a living.

So... What's a Broken Top?

We're glad you asked. We get that one a lot.

Broken Top is one of the mountains that makes up the skyline here in Central Oregon, rugged, unmistakable and very Bend.

Years ago, we actually considered changing our name as the company started growing beyond Oregon. But by then, Broken Top had become part of who we were. So we kept it.

Because no matter how far our products travel, this is home.

Born in Bend. Still in Bend. Still Broken Top.

A Note From Affton.

I started Broken Top because I needed a creative outlet. I definitely didn't start it thinking we'd one day be manufacturing products for national retailers and brands I grew up loving.

Building this company has been messy, exciting, humbling and a whole lot of fun. But the thing I'm proudest of isn't how big we've gotten, it's that we've managed to grow without losing the people, personality and care that made Broken Top special in the first place.

We're still building. Still learning. Still smelling a lot of fragrance.
